Light and shadow play across the landscape in this scene. A  forest of evergreen trees leans over a sandy beach as rays from the sun permeate the deep green and cast dappled light across the beach making the water shimmer. This painting was inspired by Florencia Beach, near Ucluelet on Vancouver Island.
