“Benson Creek Log Bridge” 30”x24” Original Oil Painting
This painting was inspired by the trail into Ammonite Falls in Nanaimo. I just love all the lush greens of our forests here on Vancouver Island, they are simply magical. The fallen tree in this painting was the only way to cross the creek if you were hiking to the falls from the parking lot on Weigles Rd. Recently a man-made bridge was installed to make the trail more accessible, and though I must admit that the log bridge wasn’t the safest route, it won’t have the same ambiance as what I captured in my painting.
